WORKSHOPS
Clown, Acting, Improv, and more!
CLOWNING REIMAGINED
Creature Creation and Impulse Driven Discovery
Through the use of the distinctly Canadian "Pochinko Method of Clown", participants will be led through a series of exercises, including:
- Impulse and instinct trust
- Rediscovering your Inner Child and heart
- Creating your own Character in it's own unique world

Previously led by Skinny McLeod at Sangha, Symmetree, Fozzy Fest and River Valley Free School, this workshop will give participants the ability to erase perceptions and experience life anew!
REDISCOVER YOUR INNER FOOL
Play, Trust, Awareness
In this two hour workshop, participants will be lead through a variety of exercises to unlock their inner fool!
Exercises include:
- Stop/Go
- The Bottle Walk
- Action/Reaction
- The Silly Dance
- A guided mediation into childhood
Previously led by Kent Kobylka at Intention Alberta 13, and with the Planters of Waterside Ventures, Rediscover your Inner Fool is a fantastic way to explore the folly of everyday life.
CREDO CREATION
Transforming Personal Truth into Art
The Credo Workshop will lead participants through the process of creating a message for their art form. We've all seen art that we believe was meaningless or pointless; with a credo, we ensure this never happens.
Participants will be lead through:
- A multi-phase re-discovery and value affirmation writing process;
- Writing a Message, which will become the center of an artistic piece;
- In pairs, the creation of a piece of art. Learn how to weave your credos together against a theme, breathing with the living message you created.

Previously lead by Kent through the River Valley Free School in Edmonton, AB, at Reign Bough Fiddle Arts and Music Festival, and on September 23rd at the Macewan Changemaker week. He hopes to continue enriching art through the Credo.
VIEWPOINTS MOVEMENT
Movement Collaborative Creation
The aim of the Viewpoints is to create theatrical movement scores from nothing. Viewpoints is a foundational theatrical discipline which informs nearly all onstage performance. In this workshop, participants will be lead through the basic movement tenants:
- Ensemble thinking
- Devised creation
- Specificity of movement within metaphoric constraints
- Bodily thinking
- Impulse trust, group trust, intuition check in
- The joy of creating art under exquisite pressure.
Kent has so far led this workshop at Borealis Festival and integrates aspects of it into his Intro to Stage series
